COVID-19 Safety practices

For all haircuts, I follow these COVID-19 safety practices. Please read these thoroughly. Before booking a cut, clients will be asked to check a box on the intake form to indicate your agreement to these practices. (Updated: October 2024)

  • All haircuts will be in a shared 561 square foot barber/salon space with 12 foot ceilings and up to 12 other people in the room.

    Barber chairs are spaced 6 feet from each other.

    My chair, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, is closest to the window, which will be open. On other days I may be at a chair that will not be nearest the window. If this is a concern, please reach out to me to check which chair I will be in for your appointment.

    An air purifier with a HEPA filter will be running at all times near my station.

    The other stylists and their clients are not affiliated with Cuts by So and may or may not be wearing masks.

    If you need an appointment where there are no other stylists present, please contact me directly to set this up!

  • Masks are required for your appointment. Please bring your own N95/KN95/KF94 respirator (not a surgical mask) to wear for your appointment. If you are unable to bring your own, you can purchase one from me before your appointment for $3.

    I will also wear a snug, well-fitting N95/KN95/KF94 respirator over my nose and mouth at all times for your appointment.

    The other stylists and their clients in the space are not affiliated with Cuts by So and may or may not be wearing masks.

  • I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and keep up to date on boosters. I expect that my clients are also fully vaccinated and keep up to date on boosters.

  • Please do not come to the appointment if you have any known COVID exposure within the past 5 days or currently have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 (source: CDC, updated March 2024):
    - Fever or chills
    - Cough
    - Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    - Fatigue
    - Muscle or body aches
    - Headache
    - New loss of taste or smell
    - Sore throat
    - Congestion or runny nose
    - Nausea or vomiting
    - Diarrhea

  • If I develop symptoms of COVID-19 and/or test positive for COVID-19 within 3 days after the appointment, I will contact you to let you know. Please do the same.
